Portfolios & Testimonials
My ghostwriting services are often confidential, so following is a small sampling of my work. If you would like a sample from a specific industry, please contact me. With the client’s permission, I can provide additional samples via email.

720 System Strategies
Philip X. Tirone
In 2001, then-mortgage broker Philip Tirone hired me to write a book about credit repair. In addition to writing this book, I managed the self-publishing phase, including design and printing. After writing the book, I continued to help Phil and his company by writing SEO-optimized blogs and articles.
Eventually, Phil’s business model changed, and, with my copywriting help, he turned the 7 Steps to a 720 Credit Score into an online course for debtors who have been through bankruptcy. His clients are bankruptcy attorneys who differentiate themselves by enrolling their clients into the 720 Credit Score program.
Since then, I have contributed to his content library for bankruptcy attorneys by writing several booklets, including Success After Bankruptcy: 12 Famous People Whose Lives Changed Because of Bankruptcy, 10 Biggest Credit Mistakes to Avoid, andRebuilding Your Life After Bankruptcy: It’s Easier Than You Think.
I have also written white papers, web copy, ad copy, and numerous drip sequences for lead-acquisition marketing purposes.
Samples include a white paper that I wrote for his data analytics company, lead follow-up copy, and a booklet. Visit http://www.720creditscore.com for an example of SEO-optimized web copy.

The MacDermott Method
Kristin MacDermott
I met resilience expert Kristin MacDermott, LMFT, in 2016 when I was hired to shepherd her book, Resilience: Why some people have it, other’s don’t, and 47 things you can do to get it. My relationship with her continued to include providing copy for social media, Facebook ads, and apps.
Eventually, we created four online courses together. In addition to the course content, I wrote the copy for lead follow-up sequences, blogs, social media, presentations, and articles.
As well, I co-authored Resilient Family Capital: The 15 Strategies Every Family of Wealth Needs with Kristin. We also co-authored over 60 ebooks and booklets.
Samples include lead-acquisition copy, lead follow-up copy, as well a chapter from our co-authored book.

After writing his first book, Tony hired me to write presentations, articles and blogs, newsletters, white papers, and marketing materials for his firm. Given the abundance of book-chapter samples, this sample is a white paper I wrote for his firm.
Reviews
“Jocelyn Baker was a terrific mentor in all phases of writing my first book, from detailing the entire process, to editing the content, to designing the cover, to obtaining a publisher, to negotiating royalty payments. She is always available to answer questions … and very patient.”
Tom Villante
Retired TV-Radio producer for the Los Angeles Dodgers, executive director of broadcasting for Major League Baseball, founding director of the Jackie Robinson Foundation, creator and producer of Lasorda at Large and Yogi Berra: It’s Ain’t Over
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jocelyn on several projects. One in particular was a book I was co-authoring with 19 of my clients from the U.S. and Canada, titled The Future of You. It was critical to the integrity of the project that each author contributed significantly to have their name listed as a contributing author, unlike many other books in the market of this type. Jocelyn’s ability to analyze all the data submissions and bring one voice to the readers was simply amazing. If not for Jocelyn, the book would have never made it to the finish line.”
Todd Fithian
Co-founder and CEO of the Legacy Companies
“Jocelyn’s work with me and for me was awesome and produced a book all my family and friends love. She is more than a gifted and talented author; she has unique talents to tell the story in the best possible way.”
Dana Anderson
Vice chairman of the Macerich Board of Directors, Emeritus, retired COO and Executive Vice President of Macerich.
“I have worked with Jocelyn for almost twenty-five years, so I can say without a doubt that she is a person of integrity. As a collaborator, she is thoughtful, resourceful, direct, and easy to work with. As a writer, she has helped me with everything from creative ad copy to functional technical copy. She has agility in styles and tone, and she can easily distill complicated thoughts into straightforward communications.”

Reviews
“People are telling me that they stayed up all night reading my book. When I think back, I give my editor, Jocelyn Baker, credit for understanding how to tell my story. Even though she knew nothing about my life, she gave me direct (and accurate) feedback about the direction of the book. She helped me shift gears and tell my story in a way that grabs people’s attention. People are saying that they can’t put the book down once they open it!”
